Straight perceived” privilege is the one I struggle the most to recognise. Other privileges I’m just like, “yes that is a thing that I am, and yes it means I get a less shitty deal than people who are not that thing”.

People assuming I’m straight though doesn’t feel like a privilege. Even though it does mean people are less likely to treat me shitty, it simultaneously makes me feel really shitty because they’re assuming I’m straight, and erasing a big part of who I am. It’s like an oppression and a privilege in one.
